I would love to have this too, but it's VERY hard. Maya can't even do it properly in non-realtime. Did you try SDF? It's amazing how far you get with raymarching.

Already implemented. See FFT-example. Sadly this only supports the microphone data. But it shouldn't be hard to extend it to the music-buffer.

This should work out of the box. That's what Annotations are for. Did you try dragging the annotation at the header?
